Support the American Swedish Institute
The American Swedish Institute is grateful for the generosity of our members and donors. Together we celebrate heritage and connect to contemporary Sweden. Gifts from our loyal supporters help care for the historic Turnblad Mansion, present exhibits and programs that educate, engage and inspire over 60,000 visitors each year, and help us serve ASI’s neighbors who share the immigrant experience.
ASI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and greatly depends on gifts from individuals and organizations to achieve our mission to serve as a gathering place for all people to share experiences around themes of culture, migration, the environment and the arts, informed by enduring links to Sweden.
There are many ways to support ASI, from becoming a member, making a one-time gift, remembering us in your estate plans, or giving annually to support your favorite programs or activities.

Ways to Show Your Support
Annual gifts to the American Swedish Institute come from many loyal individuals, members, family foundations and organizations. Annual gifts allow ASI to underwrite its programming initiatives and allow us to undertake new initiatives such as displaying contemporary Nordic exhibits and developing innovative programming. Annual gifts also help meet emerging needs such as caring for the Turnblad Mansion.
The success of ASI’s annual giving program reflects the enthusiasm of our supporters as each generation preserves the Institute’s legacy and Swedish heritage and passes it on. Your 100% tax-deductible gift can be a wonderful way to honor or memorialize someone special.
The American Swedish Institute is pleased to accept contributions in the form of bequests, trusts, and a variety of other planned gift options.
Making a bequest is a great way to support ASI and leave a lasting legacy. Bequests can be unrestricted or may be designated for endowment or special interest. ASI is able to accept gifts from retirement plans, charitable remainder trusts, insurance policies, revocable trusts, charitable gift annuities, and irrevocable trusts.
By indicating your intent to make a planned gift, you will become a member of our Heritage Society. This group of ASI’s most dedicated friends provides support that will last for many generations to come.
