Get Creative with ASI Slöjd /Handcraft Workshops

ASI offers a variety of workshops in slöjd, or Swedish handcraft. Slöjd is a type of craft in which useful and decorative objects are made completely by hand or using only simple tools. ASI aims to increase the understanding and appreciation of the process and art known as slöjd, and thereby preserve, foster, and increase access to a vital part of Minnesota's folk art tradition and heritage.

Explore Your Swedish Roots and Unlock Mysteries with ASI Genealogy Workshops

ASI hosts various sessions each year on Swedish genealogy. The workshops cover the basics of genealogy research through demonstrations of Swedish and other computer databases, advanced internet research and searching church parish records.  More advanced workshops and individual sessions are often also offered.

Registration & Confirmation

Registrations for workshops are taken online, over the phone (612-871-4907) or in person at the ASI information desk. Your registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment; students will be notified only if the class is full or cancelled.
