Beginning Swedish Grammar

4 Wednesdays, March 29, April 5, 12, 19, 9:30-11:00AM

This class is designed for any student who would like to cover basic Swedish grammar and how it is structured.  It is held in English; no prior knowledge of Swedish is necessary.  Over the course of four class periods, each 1.5 hours in duration, we will cover:  

    pronunciation guidelines

    noun declensions (indefinite/definite/singular/plural) in their 5 groups

    verb conjugations in their 4 groups

    indefinite to definite nouns with adjectives and possessive pronouns

    auxiliary and infinitive verbs

    prepositions

    sentence structure - word order and placement of adverbial words/phrases

Perhaps you are new to the Swedish language and want to refresh your grammar terminology before beginning language classes. Perhaps you have already taken A100, A101 or A102 and need a syntax review and boost of confidence. In that case, this is the class for you!
