Marcus Samuelsson Talk and Book Signing

Marcus
Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 2-3:30 p.m.

Please join us for a very special visit and book signing with Chef Marcus Samuelsson for his new book Yes, Chef; A Memoir.

Formerly of Aquavit in Minneapolis, Samuelsson is a James Beard award winning chef, author, and television personality. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden, Chef Samuelsson has  been featured regularly on television, including as a judge on three popular cooking shows: Top Chef, Iron Chef America, and Chopped. He is a frequent guest on the Today Show. Samuelsson, who currently owns Red Rooster in Harlem, N.Y., and several other restaurants in Manhattan and Stockholm, is returning to ASI for the first time in more than five years to promote his new book, which was released in June from Random House.

Yes, Chef chronicles Samuelsson’s remarkable journey from orphan in Ethiopia, to his youth in Sweden, to serving state dinners at the White House; and of course all of the awards and failures in between.

Chef Samuelsson will give a brief presentation at 2 p.m. in Larson Hall in the Nelson Cultural Center followed by a book signing. Yes, Chef is available in the Museum Shop and online at ShopSwedish.com. Copies will be available the day of the event.

Please arrive before 2 p.m. Seating is limited and is not guaranteed.
