Midsommar Celebration 2014
Welcome summer's favorite tradition at ASI’s 2014 Midsommar Celebration – a family-friendly day full of music, dancing, and much more! Join in traditional Swedish Midsommarstång (Midsummer-pole) raising, singing and dancing at 11:30 a.m., or for singing and dancing at 1:30p.m. or 3:30p.m. Come hungry as FIKA will be serving traditional Midsommar fare including herring plates, Swedish-style hot dogs, and ice cream! Day highlights include slöjd (handcraft) demonstrations, flower head-wreath making, face painting, storytelling, outside games and nature play activities. Go “green” by biking or taking public transportation (including the new Green Line) to Midsommar!
TICKETS: Free for ASI members and kids 5 and under; nonmembers: $10 adults, $5 ages 6–18. Skip the lines and get your ticket in advance in person at ASI beginning in May. Tickets will be available day of the event.
