Fall Book Discussions:

Join ASI’s “book club” of sorts to discuss our picks of Nordic novels. September’s book discussions features local author and ASI member Marilyn McGriff. Join us for a book discussion of Caught in the Lye by local author and ASI community member Marilyn McGriff. “Nick Nordin, a rookie sheriff’s deputy is assigned to investigate an apparent homicide at the local lutefisk processing plant” Day Fish Co. of Braham, MN.

In November, we’ll host a discussion of Nordic Theory of Everything.  Author Anu Patunen is a Finnish journalist and American citizen who reflects on her lived experience of life and culture and the Nordic countries and United States. Socially, politically, and economically, Patunen offers her personal anecdotes to help readers join her in the cultural comparison.
