Knit a Dala Horse Garland

Learn how to make a yarn Dala horse garland. In class, students will master the clever construction of one mini-Dala Horse with accent embroidery stitches, as well as an I-cord chain for the horse to hang from. Participants will walk away with the skills to complete the rest of the horses for the garland at home. Students should be comfortable working on double-pointed needles. Intended for intermediate level or above knitters. This workshop is taught by Sue Flanders, co-author of the book Swedish Handknits, available in the ASI Museum Shop.
Materials: A yarn kit in included in the course fee, but please bring size 2 or 3 double pointed needles, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle.
