Twined Fingerless Gloves
Create your own pair of fingerless gloves using the twined knitting technique, which is unique to Sweden. Working the gloves in two colors makes it easier to understand and master the technique. (Note: In twined knitting, the yarns are carried in the right hand and thrown over the needle. If you normally hold your yarn in the left hand, bring your adventurous spirit and be prepared to challenge the other side of your brain!). Intended for intermediate level or above knitters. This workshop is taught by Sue Flanders, co-author of the book Swedish Handknits, available in the ASI Museum Shop.
Materials: A yarn kit in included in the course fee, but please bring size 4 double-pointed needles, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. Please indicate, when registering, if you would like a red/cream or a blue/cream yarn kit.
Course Fee: $85 for ASI members, and $95 for nonmembers. Advance registration is required, and space is limited,
