Svenska Skolan is a Saturday morning language and culture program for children ages 4–13 that offers an opportunity for children to learn Swedish in a fun and interactive environment. Games, music, art and fika (snack) are offered at all class sessions. Instruction is structured to meet the needs of children at all levels of language ability. Take-home activities and a lending bibliotek (library) support families in extending class lessons.
Svenska Skolan meets seven times per term—fall, winter and spring—from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the American Swedish Institute. Fieldtrips and special events are incorporated each term to support our theme and curriculum.
