Swedes celebrate happy hour by going out for “after work”, and while you might not have the chance to make it to Stockholm this summer for your own Swedish happy hour, fear not, starting July 3, there’s After Work Wednesdays at the American Swedish Institute!
Enjoy drink and food specials from ASI’s critically acclaimed café, FIKA including a Mystery Beer Bucket (a surprise mix of 6 craft beers for just $13), $3 house red and house white wines. In addition to its full menu, the team at FIKA will offer Nordic inspired bar food like meatballs, herring, and seasonal surprise dishes. Dine outside in ASI’s Courtyard tucked between the historic Turnblad Mansion and sleek Nelson Cultural Center.
And as an added After Work bonus, the ASI galleries are open late til 8 p.m., offering the perfect opportunity to explore ASI’s many exhibits including the innovative new glass exhibit, Pull, Twist, Blow in the historic Turnblad Mansion.
