Great Makers Exchange 2018

Saturday, August 18, 2018 - 8:45am to 5:00pm

Ready, set, make!

ASI invites you to a gathering for makers, painters, crafters, carvers, weavers and creators. Whether you’re a pro or a weekend DIY-er, Great Makers Exchange is your chance to get a little messy, make something beautiful and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts at the American Swedish Institute.

From carving to painting, to pottery and weaving, craft experts from across the region will lead hands-on workshops throughout the day. Craftspeople will also be on-site offering demonstrations and a Makers Market.

The Great Makers Exchange Highlights:

  • Two-hour craft workshops in a variety of craft mediums. Your chance to try something new!
  • The Makers Market – engage with artists & organizations making and selling their wares
  • The Young Makers Studio drop-in craft activities for youth and families
  • Admission to the American Swedish Institute and the exhibit, Gudrun Sjödén: A Colourful Universe
