Afternoons at ASI

Held the second Wednesday of each month from 1-2 p.m. in Paulson Hall, ASI’s afternoon series invites artists, experts and other fascinating folk to share their knowledge and insight in fellowship with the community. A new topic is explored in every session. Please join us!

Wednesday, September 11: Friends of Swede Hollow Book Talk wth Marilyn McGriff

  • Swede Hollow may be a little known and hidden valley on the edge of downtown Saint Paul, but that’s about to change. Marilyn McGriff, local historian and member of the Friends of Swede Hollow, will present photos and give a brief history that will also serve as a preview of a book to be published this fall. Included in Marilyn's talk will be a discussion of the significant role Swede Hollow played in immigration to the Twin Cities not only for Swedes, but for Italians and Mexicans as well.
