CANCELLED Empty Bowls for Open Arms Soup Social with St. Kate’s Empty Bowls Project

Saturday, March 14, 2020 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Help ASI support the efforts of our neighbors Open Arms of Minnesota, a south Minneapolis-based nonprofit that cooks and delivers free, nutritious meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses.

At our third annual Soup Social, enjoy a bowl of soup from FIKA Café served from a handmade ceramic bowl that you can take with you as a keepsake, while meeting neighbors and the students and staff from our partner, the St. Kate’s Empty Bowls Project. You can even join us the week before to make a bowl yourself at the St. Kate's Empty Bowls Making Event on March 8th!

Advanced registration is encouraged; tickets are also available at the door for a freewill donation. The purchase of each $20 ticket supports two made-from-scratch meals for a neighbor facing a health crisis.

About Empty Bowls:

Empty Bowls events bring together artists, community members, and students to raise funds for local organizations battling hunger and poverty by sharing a meal. Guests make a donation to a charitable organization, and in return receive the gift of a handmade bowl and a filling meal. For three years, ASI has partnered with St. Kate's Empty Bowls Project, which has been hosting Empty Bowls events since 2011. All are welcome to Empty Bowls events!

Cost:
$20 adults / $10 ages 15 and under
