Curator-Led Cocktail Tours: View Still Life: Karin Broos

It’s triple-winning combination—a curator-led tour of the Still Life: Karin Broos exhibition, customized cocktails and fine FIKA consumables. Take a private evening stroll through the galleries and Mansion with long-time, ASI curator, Curt Pederson.

Still Life features the work of Broos, one of the most acclaimed artists working in Sweden today. Her photo-realistic oil paintings offer a uniquely female perspective, often focusing on her daughters and grandchildren set in contemplative scenes around her home and in the forests and lakes near Värmland.

The exhibition encompasses about 55 paintings, created from 2011 to present, with many being shown publicly for the first time. Join Pederson to learn more about Broos' techniques, the symbolism and significance of location in her art as well as Broos’ stature as an artist in Sweden.
