Exclusive CraftBOWL Exhibition Tour with Artist Jögge Sundqvist

As part of the CraftBOWL exhibition, don't miss this opportunity to meet acclaimed Swedish master craftsman/woodworker Jögge Sundqvist (aka Surolle). This moderated walking tour in the Turnblad Mansion offers an intimate and rare U.S. chance to hear him talk about his work. Two tours will be offered on the same day.

As a charming champion of the Swedish sensibility of slöjd or handcraft, he is acclaimed for his expressive and beautifully carved objects including bowls, chairs, sculptures, cupboards, spoons and trays. Sundqvist’s world is handcraft and he describes his work as based on four cornerstones: the material, tools, tradition and folk art. In his live show “Rhythm and Slöjd/Craft,” he shapes the artwork to rock music.

Capacity of 30 participants for each tour.

Presented in collaboration with Hemslöjden, The National Association of Swedish Handicraft Societies.
