Impossible Salt Performances at the Mansion

This holiday season, musical storytellers Impossible Salt return to ASI by popular demand to present The Wise One for the 2017 Jul season. This new, irreverent and interactive theatre work, set in the atmospheric Turnblad Mansion, explores the ancient roots of Jul, Winter Solstice and the New Year.

There are two ways to enjoy the Impossible Salt party. The first is during community performances during festivals and other ASI parties. These condensed performances take place in the Mansion Ballroom and are included in admission. Alternatively, there are thee exclusive after-hours shows that include small bites and beverages.

Community Performances

Included in museum admission. General admission performances of The Wise One take place on the 3rd floor Mansion ballroom. Guests can pop-in and out as seating is limited and guests may have to stand. 

Community performances do not require advanced registration. These are drop-in performances during other events.

After-hours Party at the Mansion

Exclusive to ticket holders. Includes one beverage and selection of festive bites. Each party includes a cocktail hour and mansion exploration from 6-7 p.m. Performances start at 7 p.m. and include audience involvement.  Seats are limited to guests to mobility assistance needs. Click the date to go to the corresponding ticket page.

Impossible Salt’s 2015 production, The Stranger, produced with American Swedish Institute, was listed as one of MPR’s 12 Holiday Arts Must-Sees, featured in City Page, listed in L’etoile’s Weekend What’s What, and on WCCO’s Wander, MN.
