Nordic Table Chef Series: All Over Fika, A Magnus Opus For The Nordic Baking Book

Join the American Swedish Institute at a “Magnus opus” baking event to welcome back Magnus Nilsson, the internationally acclaimed Swedish chef and author. Nordic Table: All Over Fika honors Nilsson's latest work, The Nordic Baking Book (Phaidon 2018), a follow-up to his bestselling The Nordic Cookbook.

The event will showcase Nilsson and the talents of 15 regional and award-winning fika makers – pastry chefs, coffee roasters and bakers. Each will create one original recipe inspired by The Nordic Baking Book for attendees to sample. ASI’s own FIKA Chef Blake Meier will lead the charge, featuring a variety of Nordic breads in the open-face, or smorgås, tradition, alongside items in FIKA Café’s expanded bakery case.
