Nordic Table Workshop: Butter, Cheese, Herring

The Smör Ost och Sill Bord (butter cheese and herring table) is the sexy grandmother of what we know today as the smörgåsbord. How did this appetizer course for wealthy 18th century Swedes become an important part of the Swedish holiday season? Investigate this fascinating and tasty tradition and learn how to make your next cocktail party fun and unique. Students will help prep and taste a variety of dishes, including rye blini, pickled herring and cheese accouterments. This class includes one complimentary beverage from FIKA.
