Nordic Table Workshop – Swedish Holiday Baking with Eva Sabet

Sju sorters kakor or “Seven Types of Cookies” is a staple in Scandinavian baked goods tradition. You have most likely encountered this tradition if you’ve ever been treated to fika by a Swede. Students will be immersed in authentic Swedish baking while learning several baking tips for perfecting their baking at home. Eva will share several of her favorite sweets to make around the Holiday season. She will share her own stories and weave in some historical context while preparing Swedish cookies.

Students will sample each baked good, served with coffee, of course!

Baking has been Eva Sabet’s passion since age 13. She has taught culinary classes in Sweden for students from beginners to gourmets. She has baked for Farmers Markets and at American Swedish Institute for Nordic Table Workshops and other events. She has been a proud co-owner of the acclaimed Swedish Crown Bakery in Anoka since 2011.
