Open Stacks at ASI – The Glass Collection

Open Stacks at ASI – The Glass Collection

For Swedish international exports, Swedish glass is to the art world what Volvo or IKEA may be to the automobile or furniture markets. CraftBOWL, the ASI exhibition on view now through April 8, features the work and careers of two individual Swedish craft artisans – Bertil Vallien and Ingegerd Råman – who contribute to a global resurgence of Swedish glass.

Both artists have works in ASI’s collection – a trove of inspiration for any maker, be it glassmakers, textile artists, wood turners or carvers. Go behind the scenes and explore the collection at Open Stacks! Discover what’s in the collection, why we have it, and how it can inspire new creativity.

Guided tours, public lectures and opportunities to research the collections are all a part of Open Stacks at ASI.
