Ross Sutter and Plundering the Christmas Tree! - Julgransplundring

Sunday, January 13, 2019 - 2:00pm to 2:45pm

Say hej då (goodbye) to the ASI holiday season with Julgransplundring, the plundering of the Christmas tree.

This 45-minute program led by Ross Sutter will include singing and dancing around the Christmas tree one last time, plus a craft.

Ross Sutter is a true entertainer who delights in bringing joy to his audiences, especially those at the American Swedish Institute.

Check out these highlights that will be part of his hands-on, active musical rendition of Plundering the Christmas Tree.

  • Ross will kick it off a bit early with his dancing “Yumpin’ Yimminies” (limberjacks) that kids can play while things get going
  • Do a fun family craft.
  • Sing fun Swedish songs like Hey Tomte Gubbar, Julgranspolska and Du Skåning
  • Listen to Ross’ memories of Christmas with his Grandma and how they made a special trip to Ingebretsens to buy Scandinavian food.
  • Share a bit about how your family celebrated Christmas—what was your favorite part (besides the presents).
  • After reminiscing about Christmas - do the dances and then parade to the front porch to usher the tree out.
