SAORI Weaving Intergenerational Session

Saturday, May 4, 2019 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Weaving is an important tradition in many cultures, especially Scandinavia. Try your hand at a beginner-friendly Japanese weaving technique in this half day class! SAORI weaving is an expressive, “freestyle” weaving process, blending color into a beautiful piece of fabric you will take home. The prepared floor looms allow students to jump right in, regardless of previous weaving experience. Come ready to take part in this joyful process and exercise your creativity!

Calling all crafty families! The Saturday, May 4, session is designed for intergenerational pairs or trios. For ages 10 and up. Each student will work on their own loom. A perfect opportunity for grandparents, parents and youth to try something new together!

A $20 materials fee per project is payable to the instructor.

$55 member adult/$65 nonmember adult/$35 youth, $20 materials fee per project
