SOLD OUT Virtual Nordic Handcraft Workshop: Exploring Watercolor and Ink Patterns with Tara Sweeney

Saturday, February 20, 2021 - 9:30am

This class meets online Saturday and Sunday, February 20-21, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. both days

Combine watercolor and ink to create bold patterns from surprising starting points. In conjunction with ASI’s Papier exhibition, this workshop, taught over two half-day sessions, helps participants explore the unity and variety of patterns that can be created with line, shape, color and simple tools. An excellent way to get your creative juices flowing midwinter, this workshop includes live demos with step-by-step guidelines for developing projects, individual work time and instructor feedback. Depending on their goals, students might use the class projects as skill building exercises or to create a couple watercolor pieces suitable for display or gifting. No prior drawing or painting experience needed; suitable for all levels.

This is a live virtual class taught over Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities.

This class requires students to provide their own materials; please see the materials list below.

This is a participatory class and spots are intentionally limited to allow interaction between students and the instructor. Please call 612-871-4907 to be added to a waitlist.
