This class takes place from 1-2 p.m. (followed by an hour break) and from 3-4:30 p.m.
Prepare to celebrate St. Lucia Day on December 13 by making lussekatter, the iconic golden buns that are served for breakfast by Lucia. Instructor Erin will walk through the whole process of making these yeasted, saffron-flavored breads – from preparing and kneading the dough, to shaping the rolls and baking them. Because these are yeast breads that need time to rise, we will take an hour long break in the middle of class. We’ll also have plenty of time to talk about St. Lucia day and the history of lussekatter themselves.
This is a live workshop that welcomes kids and adults to work along together from home. Spots are intentionally limited to allow interaction between students and the instructor.
Recipes will be provided one week in advance for students to shop for all the ingredients before class.
This is a participatory class and spots are intentionally limited to allow interaction between students and the instructor. Please call 612-871-4907 to be added to a waitlist. Alternatively, if you're interested in watching a demo and tackling this recipe at your own pace instead of baking along with Erin over video, check out our All About Lussekatter Demo on December 12.
