Virtual Nordic Table Demo: Baking Tunnbröd (Flatbread) with Erin Swenson-Klatt

Swedish flatbreads come in all shapes and sizes: thicker, thinner, harder, softer, grainy or full of spices. In this class, instructor/ASI staff member Erin Swenson-Klatt will demonstrate a few thin, soft flat breads – think of them as the tortillas of Sweden! These breads, traditional to northern Sweden, work great as wraps (they are the base of that Swedish street food favorite, the hot dog wrap) but are also tasty rolled up simply with butter. And we promise, because the doughs are not quite as sticky and soft, they are easier to work with than lefse and can be made without any special equipment.

This is a live virtual class taught over Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities.

The recipe packet will be provided via email one day before class with log in information. This class is recorded and shared afterwards with registrants; interested students who cannot tune in live for the weekday class may still register and watch later.
