Are you curious about food businesses (and farming) in Sweden? Join us for a morning conversation with Sara and Jonas Åkerlind, owners of Kingstreet Catering in Uppsala, Sweden. With backgrounds in the restaurant and beverage industry, Jonas and Sara built a successful restaurant and catering business in Uppsala before moving out of town and onto the land their products were coming from. In pursuit of sourcing the highest quality local ingredients, Sara and Jonas eventually partnered with a local farmer to raise their own cattle, and today their business spans from catering holiday Julbords to direct-to-consumer beef sales from their barn. Hear about Sara and Jonas’ business and then join in the conversation with your own questions, moderated by FIKA's executive chef Blake Meier.
